Year 3 Day 1 – “Living the Dream”. Sunday, 4/30/2023. Day 16 (day 2 at sea traveling from the Panama Canal to Huatulco, Mexico) of 21-night Radiance of the Seas Galveston TX to Los Angeles, CA cruise.
We are in the Pacific Ocean traveling north.
The time changed last night so we are up an hour earlier now. Up early showered and waiting in room to go to breakfast. It is an overcast nice warm day. Hit the casino some in the morning, but we are mostly staying away from it. It seems I really bring people luck. I sit at a machine put $20.00 in and the man next to me gets a hand pay. Yup, happened yesterday also with a woman. All I get is a ticket with a few cents on it. I would like to have walked away with at least enough to pay for my mani-pedi. The spas do a great job with shellac manicures.
We have Cheers with an Officer today at 11:30 am. That is usually a good event. I love going because you get to meet a lot of new people and socialize. These people cruise a lot, so they always have a lot of knowledge about ships, ports, and excursions.
I am starting to look a little unkempt. Everything is clean, but my clothes are very wrinkled. We have sent stuff to the laundry two times. They come back clean but wrinkled. Steve’s white socks are no longer white. I actually threw one of my tops away yesterday. It was pretty beat up. Other ships the clothes come back folded with no wrinkles. I only packed enough clothes for seven days. We are on for a total of 21 days.

Today’s product recommendations are for keeping your skin looking its best at sea and in the sun. My favorite skin care products are made by Elemis. Although I do sometimes try a new product here and there. I actually find myself going back to Elemis. 1) I start my morning in the shower with a face wash. He tends to break out when he uses sunscreen often. He finds the ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads excellent to use. It cleans that sunscreen out of his pores.
