Year 2 Day 274 – “Living the Dream”. Friday, 1/27/2023. Day 6 of 14-night Wonder of the Seas Caribbean Cruise. Today we are at Labadee, Haiti.

At 7am we were up having breakfast in the El Loco Fresh Restaurant on the 16th deck. Here is a little video of that restaurant and also Deck 16 behind it.
Located behind the restaurant is miniature golf, the entrance to the Ultimate Abyss dry slide, the children’s play area, the Zip line, and on the other side is the basketball court, and the Flow Rider. About 9:30am we went into the Windjammer buffet area and walked into the and walked into the Mason Jar restaurant. It was not open yet for Brunch. This is not a complimentary restaurant, but it is so nice. They serve Southern style food. Late morning and in the evening by the bar they have a small country group called The Country Crew Trio playing. We have been told they are great. They also play in the early evening under the big silver hat on Deck 5 in the promenade.

We elected to stay on the ship and go in the pool. We will be back next Tuesday so we will get off the ship next time. We like to swim in the morning before the pool is filled with sunscreen and other bodily stuff. Today the pools are empty everyone is on the beach. There is only our ship in port. The pool water is warm. The ships pools are constantly refreshed with sea water when the ship is at sea. At port they add chlorine to the sea water. Shaving your legs and then entering the water is a little bit of a stinging surprise.

In the afternoon I continued exploring the ship. Here’s a video of a quick walk around Central Park on Deck 8.
On Deck 8 you will also find the Music Hall. This is where you will find on Royal Caribbean ships a Tribute band. This trip it is a Groove Band, A Tribute to Bruno Mars.

Then a little quick stop to try for that Grand Jackpot.

It was windy and cooler in the evening. Walking the boardwalk deck, I wore a sweatshirt.

Come on aren’t we in Haiti. I am going to freeze when we get home. We decided to see how Windjammer buffet was for dinner. We got there at 5:30pm when they opened and were greeted nicely by the employees.
Here there is always something waiting for me and watching TV in my bed when I come in at night.

Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids. We will also be installing a smaller one for baking dishes. These are awesome. https://amzn.to/3CzOwwq https://amzn.to/3ZcBuyq
