Year 2 Day 271 – “Living the Dream”. Tuesday, 1/24/2023. Day 3 of 14-night Wonder of the Seas Caribbean Cruise. We love eating breakfast in the Solarium Bistro. It is always so nice and really quiet. This trip that venue is closed. There is a large group of people who rented the venue out for morning devotionals. We found out last night that the Mexican Restaurant has breakfast in place of the Bistro. The breakfast there was wonderful this morning. We are on deck 16 in an open-air restaurant. What a lovely place to have breakfast. So nice and clean. Great choice of food and a lot of it is behind glass and served to you. Very pleasant dining experience. We are in Nassau, Bahamas today.

It is hot hot hot. We got off the boat early and walked to the right. Mariner of the Seas is in port with us today.

Everywhere you look there is construction. Once this port is completely refurbished it is going to be ultra-nice. We have been watching this progress for a while now. Every time we come, they are progressing in leaps and bounds towards completion. If you look under ports on this site and go to Nassau, you can look at previous pictures of the construction.

We saw many police riding on the Segway vehicle things on the streets. There is a large police presence here.

The ferries to paradise island are now to the left of the pier. They used to be across from the straw market. We walked back to the pier and took a ferry. It was $5.00 for a one-way ferry ride. What a difference in the ocean movement on the ferry. The Wonder of the Seas does not move up and down at all. The ferry was bouncing all over the place. Getting off the ferry was a trick. They put out steps, but the first step was actually a jump.

We walked around the Atlantis and the Marina. The casino was very quiet. There is major refurbishment going on here as well. Steve said the rest rooms were all broken. It is amazing you can have such high-end shops and broken up rest rooms. The talk later that evening among passengers was that the Atlantis has not been maintained in the last few years. Hopefully they will refurbish it back to its glory. It is such a beautiful resort. We took a taxi back for $5.00 each. The taxis are vans, and they pack as many people as they can into them. The rest of the day was spent walking around Central Park.

The restaurant ‘150 CENTRAL PARK’ is supposed to be a great place to eat. It is a formal attire restaurant. On one of our cruises, we will try it.

We sat by the pool listening to good music, enjoying the nice breeze, and had some good beverages in the afternoon. Cheers!!

This spaceman filled with love is always watching over one of the pool areas. There are other space men around the ship.

Tonight, is formal night.

After dinner we saw the ice show “365 Seasons on Ice”. I have seen many of the ice shows on the Oasis class ships, but this one was just okay. I won’t go and see it again in the next two weeks. Usually, I walk out really pumped and excited and raving how everyone has to go see the ice show. I wonder if I have become jaded about the shows. We will see.

Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids. We will also be installing a smaller one for baking dishes. These are awesome. https://amzn.to/3CzOwwq https://amzn.to/3ZcBuyq
