Year 2 Day 272 – “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 1/25/2023. Day 4 of 14-night Wonder of the Seas Caribbean Cruise. It is an at sea day. If you hit the Windjammer buffet at 7am when they open it is quiet and clean. So that is what we did this morning. Steve likes oatmeal and the El Loco Fresh restaurant does not have any. After breakfast we walked the track for a while. Nice area to get some exercise. The walking jogging track is the one feature of these Oasis class ships that I love.

There are different motivational sayings and images along the walk/run to keep you going.

Additionally, there are different areas on the outside of the track where you can stop and sit and watch the ocean fly by or play shuffleboard or ping pong.

I stopped and watched the guys setting up for the Aqua show, they had the curtains open.

You could even see them climbing the rock wall and the dry slides through the backstage area of the Aqua theater. Wish I had the nerve to do that.

It is always fun to look in the emergency evacuation crafts. There are compartments in the floor labeled food and water. But where are the bathrooms?

We then went to the casino. This ship has the tightest machines I have seen in a long time. It was a straight take on the slot machines. The slot machines do have an area on them to charge your phones. I really like that feature on the new slot machines; except I kept forgetting to pick it up when I switched machines. So maybe it is better just to leave it in my pocket.

We then walked around and explored more of the ship. There are areas in the stateroom hallways with these little palm trees on them. It reminded me of a tropical night men’s shirt.

The Rising Tide bar moves between Deck 5 promenade deck and Deck 8 in Central Park. You can get on and off on Deck 5 and Deck 8.

Across from Sorrento’s pizza on deck 5 in the promenade there is a really nice bar ‘The Cask & Clipper” with little outside tables to sit, have a drink, and people watch. We have been spending a little time there every day.

They had their promenade sales today. It was $15.00 each item with the deal ‘buy 4 get 1 free’. Last cruise we were on it was $10.00 an item. Inflation, inflation, inflation. Not only eggs are going up on price, but everything. Everybody is jumping on the inflation wagon to make money. Had lunch in the main Dining room. Besides the buffet at their island “Coco Cay” the food at lunchtime was excellent. If you do lunch in the main dining room on any of the ship’s order the Royal Burger. It is always excellent, and I am not a hamburger person. The wedge salad was great also. French Fries were terrible. Actually, I am glad they were. They went in the garbage. In the afternoon we spent a lot of time enjoying the ocean sights and sounds from our balcony. It was a beautiful sunny warm day on the ocean somewhere between Nassau, Bahamas and Falmouth, Jamaica. There were a lot of white caps, which shows the seas were pretty rough. You couldn’t tell from the motion in the ship. The motion in the ocean did not match the motion in the ship. We went to the Promenade deck for a little pizza and discovered there are no salads available This trip. They have Kosher pizza in that area this week and also last. A number of ship venues are Kosher catering to the large party on board of people requiring that food this week and last week.

Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids. We will also be installing a smaller one for baking dishes. These are awesome. https://amzn.to/3CzOwwq https://amzn.to/3ZcBuyq
