Living the Dream” – Day 22 of our 1/2 world trip aka Year 2, Day 165, Sunday, October 9 2022. We were off the ship before 8am. After 10 minutes of being off the ship I decided I like Honolulu much better than Maui. We took the trolley transportation to the Waikiki shopping plaza. This is a really nice city. The buildings here are architectural masterpieces. I love the uniqueness of the buildings. They are so tall and thin. The city is very clean with lots of good shopping. We got on the Blue line trolley. Scenery was very pretty. The flowers and vegetation through the city is gorgeous. The smell is just heavenly in the open air trolley. The beaches are wonderful. The trolley was a beautiful ride, but very crowded and we had to stand for 1 1/2 hours. It was difficult to take pictures and enjoy yourself with the curvy roads and going about fifty miles an hour. I could not reach the overhead straps to hold on.
We ended up taking an uber back to the ship. We were able to get in the ship with the crew and made the back to back special lunch. So it was a win win for us. We were entertained by a waiter.
I would love to come back and spend some time exploring this area. We made reservations for dinner at Chops for two nights. Interesting there is no extra gratuity charged like on the last cruise for the dinners. They changed it for this cruise. Tonight’s dinner was great. We had so much fun with some great dinner mates.

Today’s product recommendations are traveling essentials. 1) Luggage hand cart – we love this cart for easy rolling for easy cruise carry-on bags. Even when you can’t go to your room right away this is so easy to walk around the ship with. Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3s37EOw

2) This large toiletry bag is the best. Steve has the black and I have the pink. We both absolutely love them. Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3v1p6ok and picture
