Living the Dream – Year 2, Day 8

Sunday, May 8, 2022. Happy Mother’s Day to Jenna, Bobi, Reina, and all mothers today from the MSC Seashore. Hoping your mother’s day is filled with love, joy, and laughter.

We are at sea today. Cuba is off to the right of the ship. Most of the day you could see the hills off the Starboard side of the ship. We had a lovely view from our balcony.

We left Miami yesterday and are going around Cuba traveling to Jamaica. We will be arriving in Ochos Rios tomorrow morning. It is 716 nautical miles from Miami to Ochos Rios.

Our day today was spent eating, and wandering the ship.  We ate lunch in the Central Park Restaurant.

In our travels, we came across another glass bridge on deck eight today.  Not as scary though. It has double wide glass panes.  You can walk on the inner beam and feel safe.

The large water slide goes out over the edge of the pool.  Think I can get Steve to go on it?

We walked through the casino. It is pretty cool that the slot machines have charging pads built into them. They don’t want you to leave because your phone is going dead. The kids water park is the best I have seen at sea.

Check out the hot air balloon. Very, very cool video.

Love the aft elevators overloooking the Infinity pools. What a view. Check out this video.

Nice pool where they show movies every night.  We will have to come watch one.

We spent time at the Jungle Beach pool in the afternoon Okay. so if you want to wear a thong bathing suit, this is the ship for you. Lots of exposed butt checks around. Cover my eyes.  Steve say he is getting me a thong bathing suit for my birthday.  Can you IMAGINE the sight?

Last night we had a couple sit with us, but they came with two other couples and they were trying to get a table together. So tonight it was just us for Mother’s day. The food and service is excellent on this ship.  So much better than the Divina. It was a beautiful breezy day.  While we were getting ready for elegant night dinner,  the TV broadcasted a Happy Mother’s  day in many lanquages.  It was so sweet.

The servers told us we would be the only ones at that dinner table the rest of the cruise.  After dinner we walked the decks and explored the ship some more. I love being at sea.  Here is the Bridge of Sighs at night time while at sea.

The ship has a New York Decor. There is a 9.5 foot statue of Liberty in the middle of the casino.

Times Square billboards flash.

The dining rooms have names such as Manhattan, Tribeca, Central Park, and 5th Avenue.  Then there is the Long Island pool.  The liquor store seemed to have good prices.  A bottle of Bombay Saphire was like $22.00.

Tonight’s animal is smaller. But a lot noisier.

Today’s product recommendations are traveling essentials.                                                    1) Luggage hand cart – we love this cart for easy rolling for easy cruise carry-on bags.  Even when you can’t go to your room right away this is so easy to walk around the ship with.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3s37EOw

2) This large toiletry bag is the best.  Steve has the black and I have the pink.  We both absolutely love them.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3v1p6ok and picture
