Living the Dream – Year 2, Day 6

Friday, May 6, 2022. Departing Independence of the Seas at Port Canaveral. And just like that we are back to watching the lumber being moved in Port Canaveral. Our four night Bahama cruise on Independence of the Seas is over. Ended with a bang though. We watched the Falcon 9 take off. Really cool. I almost missed it. Wanted to take a shower first. Yikes hurry, hurry it is going up. Would have missed it except Steve was out there calling Hurry.

The wood piles have grown in Port.

Some large shipments must have come in while we were away. We are luggage tag number 26. Scheduled for 9:20 departure. Last departure time.

There were long lines getting off the ship, but they moved very quickly.

As long as you have a passport you fly right through facial recognition. Always, Always, grab a porter to get your bags. They want to move you out quickly. We were in our car at 9:04am.

Once out on highway 528 going towards Port St Lucie we drove parallel with the Brightline railroad construction.

This is a huge project which when completed later this year will connect Orlando to Miami by train. It will be a three hour train ride. Tonight we are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in Port St Lucie, Florida. We were covid tested this morning at Walgreens and we are negative and ready for our next cruise tomorrow out of Miami.

Today’s product recommendations are traveling essentials.                                                    1) Luggage hand cart – we love this cart for easy rolling for easy cruise carry-on bags.  Even when you can’t go to your room right away this is so easy to walk around the ship with.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3s37EOw

2) This large toiletry bag is the best.  Steve has the black and I have the pink.  We both absolutely love them.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3v1p6ok and picture
