It is so muddy and slippery that you have to walk on plywood around the house. Sometimes the plywood slides and you are mud surfing.

Check out the picture of Steve. He’s in the dog house now!!

I love those huge dormers.

Last night it was raining so hard that I elected not to go and use the outdoor shower. Steve went streaking to the shower. Ok I was not doing that. I am OK with wrapping in a towel and walking to and from the shower. Streaking no way. Can you imagine this old lady running butt naked to the shower. The neighbors would be horrified. You really can’t even run since everything is so slippery. Today was fun times working in the rain. Due to torrential rains last night yesterday’s dishes had to be washed.

Steve and Justin worked on cleaning the basement, adding stone,

leveling the floor, and then they covered with plastic.

The excavator was used to drop the stone through the front door opening into a wheelbarrow. Steve had to be very careful not to hit the foundation or walls. That excavator is really powerful and can do a lot of damage. He did an excellent job and moved the shovel steady and careful.

Justin wheelbarrowed the stone around.

Pins need to be put in the floor tomorrow and then the cement will be ordered. Our daughter-in-law Bobi will be assisting in wheeling the cement around. Steve is afraid they won’t have the stamina to constantly be running and dumping the cement. They may need help, so it is Bobi to the rescue. She is strong and I am a weakling. No way could I wheel that concrete. Our Granddaughter stopped in to check out the progress, but she was not dressed to work.

We headed to Lowes in the late afternoon to get fly traps and more lumber for framing closets.

Let’s hope tomorrow is not an all day soaker. Please turn the sprinkler off, we are drenched.
