It is very dark here at 6am. This morning the cabin outside light was loaded with yellow jackets. NO! NO! NO I can’t stand another type of bee. There must be a nest somewhere near our cabin. I had bought some bee traps from Amazon to hopefully catch the sweat bees. We put Cranberry juice in them three days ago. Still no bees. I guess they don’t like Cranberry juice. That is the only juice here. It goes real well with my Vodka! Today I read that beer works. I dumped the Cranberry juice and put beer in. Seems the flies like the beer. Cleaning crew was back at work today.

OMG, what a mess I am. Where is my makeup and heels?

Just a little bit of background about me. Grew up poor, mom cleaned houses. Graduated high school and ran off with my boyfriend. Was really pretty smart in school though. Just young and foolish. Worked many different physically hard jobs from cleaning houses, cleaning camps, was a live in nanny for awhile, waitressed, and was a bartender. This is to explain that I do know hard work. But it has been a long long time. Finally fell into a job that trained me to be a computer programmer. So yes, for years I had a desk job. Worked in a beautiful office that was climate controlled, did lunch time walks, and went home to a really nice house. Then retired and we are “LIVING THE DREAM” and working harder than ever. Of course I am not working as hard as Steve and Justin.

Maybe one eighth as hard. Lol. I am still a wimp. I finished cleaning the upstairs, folded the tarps, rolled all the cords, and bagged all the garbage.

Steve had to come up and assist with moving all the lumber scraps around.

One thing I have learned is that mud wasps don’t like me yelling at them. I yell GO GO GET OUT OF HERE! and they back up and go out the window. Pretty funny. Good thing there are no close neighbors that can hear the crazy lady. The sound vibrations must bother the bees. The siding is going up fast now. There are eight squares of siding already up. It will get slower as they get higher on the house. Steve has to figure out how to get up to do those lovely doghouse dormers. Can’t wait for the high work to be totally done.

A huge storm blew in this afternoon. The temperature dropped very quickly. The wind was blowing ladders around and then it poured sideways in through the front door for a few hours. The only side with a huge opening in it still. Go figure.
We are expecting rain the next two days. Depending on the severity they may do detail framing upstairs, or maybe take the time off.

Last comment a big mouse/rat ran under my chair. They are drowning under the house so they are coming to visit me. Have to put those traps out again.
