Day – 40 – Living the Dream.
Woke up this morning to a very wet open trunk. Steve carries the car key fob in his pocket and bends over and opens the trunk. We have had this happen in hotels and the trunk has been filled with snow. We now make sure, when that our hotel rooms overlooks the parking lot where our car is. He also takes his keys out of his pocket and sets them on the nightstand and then verifies the trunk is closed. He needs to do this with our cabin.

We trimmed all the trees around the yard. They had taken over where you couldn’t drive the riding mower near the trees. If you go under the trees, the ticks just jump right on you. It is so disgusting, we have to check each other for ticks every night. And if one is stuck and you ask Steve to grab it, he grabs your skin with it. I have a huge welt in my neck because he thought he was only getting the tick. Hopefully, trimming the trees will take care of the tick issue.

Went to the casino, aka the laundromat today. Just feeding the quarters in. The difference with this casino is that there is no way you are walking out with more money than you walked in with.

Driving down the country roads to the laundromat is scary. The corn surrounds you and reminds me of “The Children of the Corn”.

Received my new Teal folding chairs. I love them, they are so comfortable and nice.

Water is flooding around the foundation, but starting to dry out.

Block work continues under the canopies.

We are moving along, Steve worked on creating the first lumber order.
Today’s product recommendations are: 1) Shears for tree and bush pruning, and 2) These tick removal tools. Here’s the links to these products:
