Living the Dream Day 39

Day 39 – Living the Dream.

Our mornings start with eggs on the electric griddle. So glad we brought the griddle with us. Sorry Jeff, bacon is once a week at Cracker Barrel.

We hung up hooks for our towels to dry in the cabin. So not used to reusing towels for more than one shower. We are using for two showers now that we are washing clothes at the Laundromat. We normally use once and they just go right in the washing machine. I always wonder what part of my body did I use the first time, as I dry my face from the second shower. Eeew!!

Steve started working on the foundation early. He mixed cement and then the pouring rain hit.

Threw away cement and it got nice. Go figure. Then the next storm blew in and he just sat on the porch in disbelief.

Then it was back to work under the canopies. Strange weather today.

He placed plastic over the walls as he plastered them to hopefully protect them. We don’t want the plaster to just wash off.

Thank goodness for those canopies, or today would have been a wasted day.

The water is laying around the foundation now and there are a ton of frogs loving it. Unlike us, we would like it dry.

Our John Deere tractor arrived today.

We bought this tractor for me to mow the lawn. So of course, I took it around the yard. OMG – what a disaster, it was like riding a “BUCKING BRONCO”. I had to hang on or get thrown off. The yard is so rough that you just bounce all over. I could not stop laughing as I rode around. Steve kept saying slow down, but you have to realize, I have never ever mowed a lawn before.

As I was cooking dinner on the back porch and eyeing the Green eyed monster and thinking, I do not want to ever get back on you.

Steve just started mowing the back yard. Oh yes, I am so happy.

Mowing in the backyard is hard. There are hoses and electrical lines everywhere that have to be moved. Along with the picnic table and our dining canopy.

Today’s product recommendations are: 1) The electric griddle we use all the time. We use everyday in our kitchen, here at our building site, we take to the Outer Banks to use in vacation home rentals, and we have taken camping. We love this griddle, and 2) These really great strong hooks. Here’s the links to these products:
