Year 6, Day 116. “Living the Dream”. Monday, 8/24/2026, Clifty Hill 3. Framing Day 22. The porch ceiling joists are completed. More rafters are up. Every rafter is screwed in with three inch screws. The 2x8x24 lumber pile is coming down and the roof is taking shape.
The winch is a back and time saver. It is faster and easier than passing anything up by hand. These rafters are 20 feet long and really heavy. Our shingle bundles will go up using that winch also.
One of the best things we did was make this bar kitchen area downstairs in the Wellinigton. It is so easy to run in, clean up, and rest with refreshing drink during the day while working. Absolutely love this room. It makes break time so enjoyable. The best part is “Roomba Barmaid” keeps the area clean all the time.
