Year 5, Day 262 “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 1/17/2026, Day 12 of 22 day California Zephyr cross country trip, followed by a California coastal drive, and then a 14 night Mexico Cruise – Day 2 of 5 night Cabo Overnight Cruise from Los Angeles on Quantum of the Seas – At sea traveling from Los Angeles, California to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The horn blew a lot last night.
This morning at breakfast we are sitting and looking at a wall of fog.
It cleared up and became a gorgeous day. Although we did spend most of our day in the casino. We walked away with money. So we are good with missing the sun.
Every elevator has a crazy dressed up animal pic.
Tonight is Dress your best night. We will see if anyone dresses up. Last night most people were in jeans. I have never seen that before. There are 151 waiters and 151 assistant waiters in the Four main dining rooms on this cruise.
There are not a lot of Diamond Plus on Board. Our last cruises from Rome ending with a Transatlantic had a lot of Diamond Plus Crown and Anchor members.
Hey we are still designing our next home. This coffee area and microwave placement is just perfect.
