Year 4 Day 71 “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 7/10/2024. Clifty Hill 2 – We ordered the lumber for the 12×20 shed and it will be delivered on Monday. In the afternoon, Estes came with our kitchen cabinet order. The pallets of cabinets were unloaded at the end of the driveway. You have to notify the cabinet maker while the delivery truck is there if any cabinet is damaged or missing and send pictures right away. They do replace the cabinets very quickly. Therefore, as every pallet came off the truck, we opened it and each cabinet box, inspected each cabinet, checked it off the list, put it back in the box, and loaded it on our truck. Our garage is now full of kitchen cabinets. A few came slightly damaged.
Learned a lesson about grilling bacon. Cook it in a frying pan on the side burner of the grill. Tried to cook it on aluminum foil on the grill. Yikes – the grease dripped down and it gives off a lot of grease. The fire was raging about two feet high. Jamie had told us that beer puts out a fire. Yes, it works it is not a myth. Thanks to Jamie the raging fire was under control quickly. But what happened to the bacon. Most of it disintegrated. Another day of trials and tribulations of off grid living.
