Year 4 Day 72 “Living the Dream”. Thursday, 7/11/2024. Clifty Hill 2 – We have grown tired of the ground washing out by the garage. The embankment won’t stay in play. It rains and I am walking in mud to get in and out of my car. Then Steve pushes it back into place with the excavator. Until the next rainstorm. It really rains hard here in Kentucky. Alot of rain in short periods of time. The soil cannot take the heavy rain, and it will not percolate quick enough into the ground. So today we ordered blocks to build a retaining wall. Behind the wall will be drainage pipes. All water will run under the driveway and be channeled to go into the stream.
Things to ponder today! Have to leave you thinking.
