Year 3 Day 221- “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 12/09/2023. Day 2 of 8 night Eastern Caribbean cruise on Adventure of the Seas. (Day 8 of 17-day Caribbean vacation). Today is a sea day. We are traveling to Labadee, Haiti. We left yesterday from Port Canaveral. The seas are rougher today. They are about six feet high, and winds are 30 mph.

I wandered around the ship exploring and taking pictures.

I found myself in the chapel on Deck 15 towards the end of the day. It is very beautiful, modern, quiet, and peaceful. The feeling of serenity and peace was overwhelming.

There are many Loyal to Royal passengers on this cruise.

Our stateroom 1540 on deck 10 is a connecting stateroom. We usually stay away from connecting rooms. Well, we know why after last night. The people in the connecting room had their TV on all night. It was like we were watching tv all night. Tonight was formal night. There were a lot of very fancy dressed people and tremendously long lines for pictures. I keep seeing on Facebook that people don’t dress up anymore for formal nights or dress your best nights. Well, I actually see the opposite. Work continues at home, but on truck repairs. Rust is overwhelming the pickup like cancer that has metastasized. We are having pieces replaced while we are away.

Here’s today’s Cruise Compass

Here’s a link to today’s Amazon recommendation: https://amzn.to/3t4So73 This is a portable scale. I use it every day at home and take it in my suitcase whenever I travel. I try to keep track of my weight even on vacation. It is great. I guess the best thing to say is if it broke today, I would be ordering one immediately.
