Year 3 Day 112 – “Living the Dream”. Tuesday, 8/22/2023. Clifty Hill 2 – Framing Day 6 – At 9am it is like pea soup walking out the door. Only 79 with no sun but the humidity has you drenching wet in no time. I am met as I open the door with a wall of sweat bees. They swarm around me as I walk to my car. Then a bunch get in the car before I can close the door. The rest are swarming at the windows. I proceeded to kill them in the car. So now my dashboard has dead sweat bee bodies on it.

The sun came out around 11am. It was brutally hot. Steve was soaked like he jumped in a lake. The Cripple Studs were installed over the garage door headers today. Cripple Studs are short studs installed above a header or below a windowsill or saddle. If the header is tall enough to reach the top plate no cripple studs are required. Clifty Hill 2 framing will continue for another month.

We now have a tarp put up for a little shade during the daytime. It is a lot cooler under that tarp. Of course, it is a lot cooler by my desk in the Williamsburg.

At 5:30pm it is 118 on our deck and still rising. Steve says take that “Texas Dan”. Lol

Thoughts for the day!
