Year 3 Day 27 – “Living the Dream”. Monday, 5/29/2023. Happy Memorial Day! Today was a fun day. I never really cook for people, so it was really exciting and fun. Amazingly enough it came out good. Made pulled pork for the second time ever. The homemade Barbecue sauce was tangy. We took the pulled pork and mixed it three different ways (with the homemade tangy sauce, the bottled sweet sauce, and plain). In the end my favorite pulled pork sandwich was the tangy homemade sauce and homemade coleslaw on a bun. The pie was excellent. The pie cooked for two hours to make a jellied type of consistency. Most of us had it with both the ice cream and whipped cream.
The best part of the day was spending a relaxing day with Steve, Justin, Bobi, Reina, and Koral. It is a rare occasion when life slows down, and we get to bond with family. Everything was basically ready to serve before they arrived.
Koral went and found these beautiful wildflowers. The first thing everyone did was google what is the name of the wildflowers she picked. In the evening they brought a smile to both my counter and me.
So, as you know when I am truly immersed in a situation I forget about pictures unless someone mentions them. The shame is those are the moments to capture. No one mentioned pictures yesterday. The girls left and we hadn’t done a group picture. Boohoo – Future note to self – snap out of it and take those memory pictures!
Today’s product recommendations are for keeping your skin looking its best at sea and in the sun. My favorite skin care products are made by Elemis.
