Year 3 Day 2(+3) – “Living the Dream”. Thursday, 5/04/2023. Day 20 (at sea traveling from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to Los Angeles, California) of 21-night Radiance of the Seas Galveston TX to Los Angeles, CA cruise. This is day one of two sea days before we disembark in Los Angeles. It is cooler today in the high sixty’s and windy.
It is a sweatshirt day. We are still in shorts though. We each got a certificate for commemorating this trip “Panama Canal Crossing”.
At noon today we can see the California Peninsula. Cabo San Lucas is 21 nautical miles off the starboard side. We have 818 nautical miles to go to Los Angeles. The seas are 8 to 10 feet and windy with a temperature of 68 degrees and getting cooler. The California Peninsula will be on our starboard side for the next day. The peninsula is 25 miles to 200 miles wide. There are 65 islands off the peninsula and five deserts on the peninsula.
Last night our next day’s compass(schedule) was on our bed, and it stated that we should set our clocks back. Okay we did it. Today the Captain’s noon time announcement came on at 11am. Then he states that time changes tonight. Yup the compass is always for the next day. Well, we got to sleep in today!! This is the first cruise I noticed everyday there is Morning Mass in the Aurora Theatre from 8:30am – 9:25am. I have been talking with a lot of passengers that have been going to morning mass every day. They say the priest is great and tells such good stories. He is a retired priest and goes on different cruises and provides daily morning mass. Such a nice thing for passengers and crew.
We spent a little time in the Casino. Hey – It’s a sea day!
Today’s product recommendations are for keeping your skin looking its best at sea and in the sun. My favorite skin care products are made by Elemis. Although I do sometimes try a new product here and there. I actually find myself going back to Elemis. 1) I start my morning in the shower with a face wash.
