Living the Dream Year 2 Day 358 – Day 10 of 30-night KY to LA and back (Day 2 (At Sea traveling from Galveston, Texas to George Town, Cayman Islands) of 21-night Radiance of the Seas Galveston TX to Los Angeles, CA cruise

Year 2 Day 358 – “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 4/22/2023. Day 8 (At Sea traveling from Galveston, Texas to George Town, Cayman Islands) of 21-night Radiance of the Seas, Galveston TX to Los Angeles, CA. We are finding that the passengers on board this leg of our cruise are not as friendly. It is very strange. Feeling kind of snubbed!! We keep sitting next to couples that really don’t want to talk at all. We have never been on a cruise like this. Maybe people will loosen up a little as the days go by. A lot of the passengers are doing back-to-back to back and cruising all the way to Alaska.

We spent a lot of time outside today enjoying the ocean views. It was a cool nice day.

At noontime we have traveled 319 nautical miles and have 644 nautical miles to our next port, which is George Town, Grand Cayman. The seas are moderate, and the outside temperature is 77 degrees. We are in the Mexican Gulf which is bordered by five states. 54% of the United States oil comes from this area and 47% of the United States natural gas.

We had lunch in the Main dining room today and I ate the best Butternut Squash Risotto. I have eaten it many times on Royal ships. It is always fantastic.

Our waiter Mark from the six-night cruise before this served us and he even remembered our names. He was a great waiter. If you want a good waiter, he is the best. Thank you, Mark.

Tonight, was formal night and most people were dressed very formal. We have a nice group of people at our dinner table, and we are having an enjoyable time with them.

Today’s product recommendations are for traveling by car. 1) We always carry this Igloo Playmate cooler in our back seat. She is always belted in. We carry water, lunch and snacks. We never go anywhere without it. https://amzn.to/41rWJNa 2) A first aid kit is also a necessity when you could be on the road far from a town. This is a great one. https://amzn.to/3Uyo2Ty 3) We also keep wet ones in all our vehicles. Using rest areas or eating snacks require the use of good antibacterial wipes. https://amzn.to/3UCWhJS 4) I also always keep these toilet seat paper covers in our vehicles. I hate those interstate rest area seats. Men have it so easy. Not us ladies we have to sit on those seats. Sometimes they are really wet from other people’s bodily fluids. How gross is that. These work great. Keep them in your vehicle or purse. https://amzn.to/41qjz7J
