Year 2 Day 279 – “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 2/01/2023. Day 11 of 14-night Wonder of the Seas Caribbean Cruise. Today we are in San Jaun, Puerto Rico.

We have found that if you sit farther away from the buffet area in the Windjammer it is a little less crowded. So now we sit near the interior windows that overlook the Boardwalk for breakfast.

Princess Regal, Carnival Celebration, and Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas are parked in San Juan, Puerto Rico as we pull in at 1:30pm. From our balcony I took a few pictures.

and this video of the Carnival Celebration coaster. I want to go on this coaster.
The Grandeur of the Seas is the second cruise ship we sailed on. It is small. The Wonder of the Seas towers over it. Here is a current list of Royal Caribbean’s 26 ships in size order smallest to largest. The ones with xxxx after them we have cruised on. We have been on 15 of the 26. The smallest ship, Rhapsody of the Seas holds 2,416 passengers and the largest ship. Wonder of the Seas which we are on now holds 7,084 passengers. The oldest ship is Grandeur of the Seas. 1) Rhapsody of the Seas 2) Grandeur of the Seas xxxx 3) Radiance of the Seas 4) Serenade of the Seas xxxx 5) Vision of the Seas 6) Brilliance of the Seas xxxx 7) Jewel of the Seas 8) Enchantment of the Seas xxxx 9) Adventure of the Seas xxxx 10) Navigator of the Seas 11) Voyager if the Seas 12) Mariner of the Seas 13) Explorer of the Seas xxxx 14) Independence of the Seas xxx 15) Freedom of the Seas xxxx 16) Quantum of the Seas xxxx 17) Ovation of the Seas xxxx 18) Anthem of the Seas xxxx 19) Liberty of the Seas xxxx 20) Odyssey of the Seas 21) Spectrum of the Seas 22) Symphony of the Seas 23) Harmony of the Seas 24) Oasis of the Seas xxxx 25) Allure of the Seas xxxx 26) Wonder of the Seas xxxx Isn’t San Juan beautiful.

We stayed on board the ship today in port and Steve enjoyed the water slides.

We had an excursion to the rain forest planned and paid for months ago. A few nights ago, it was cancelled, and the money refunded. Apparently, the company could not get us back to the ship on time. That was the only thing I wanted to do in San Juan. We have been to Puerto Rico many times. Actually, it is a great place to buy shoes and clothes. The styles are fantastic. There are a lot of themed cruises. Have you ever heard of Shag dancing. Last cruise was an Elvis impersonator cruise and this one has a huge group of shag dancers. Interesting. I had to go find out about Shag dancing. Looks like fun.
Early in the day before we docked, they had the Pirate’s parade. We could see it from the hallway by the elevators near our room.

In the evening, we went to the Park Cafe for an early lite dinner. This restaurant closes early it is not really a dinner venue. They make a great salad for you and have great roast beef, fruit, and soup. This restaurant is located in Central Park and is complimentary dining. We loved it. It is very nice to sit outside of the restaurant and enjoy the Central Park atmosphere. People rave about their roast beef sandwiches. I found the roast beef is excellent but very rare. You can ask them to microwave it a little to cook it more.

We then strolled around Central Park

and up to the Solarium and outside. Just a relaxing evening on the ship. The views of San Jaun at night are gorgeous. This is a beautiful city.

Back in our room a new animal is waiting with tomorrow’s compass. I always end the night reading and planning tomorrow’s events.

Here’s some things to ponder while you drift off to sleep.

Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids. We will also be installing a smaller one for baking dishes. These are awesome. https://amzn.to/3CzOwwq https://amzn.to/3ZcBuyq
