We are all checked out of the Sydney Hilton at 11am. We then took an uber xl to the airport. I am super nervous about this long flight.

The lines were heavy checking in. This time Steve has the pat down. I had sunscreen in my purse, and it was thrown away. Steve had an additional small suitcase as a carry on and we forgot that the hair conditioner I had bought in the spa on the cruise ship was in it. Bye bye conditioner which cost $50.00. I should have checked what was in the suitcase. By 1pm we are through security and all checked in. Headed to McDonald’s in the food court. The McDonald’s is so weird. You use the kiosk and what you order is filled and comes down a belt from the next level up. Steve ordered a double cheeseburger. It was a burger with cheese on each side. Is that the Australian version of the double cheeseburger?

We are traveling on Quantas’s flight qf7 which is a 787-9 Dreamliner from Sydney to Dallas. The plane holds 296 passengers.

There goes the crew getting on the plane. I hope they are well rested and in good moods.

We got on the plane and thought hey these seats are really nice. Okay so that was first class, we then got to the next section of the plane and thought wow these are really nice also. Then we continued walking into the coach section. Okay these are a little small. The flight is not full, and we did end up with an open seat next to us. Yeah, extra room. I can basically lay down. Steve is not as comfortable as I am.

The flight attendants on this flight are so nice, the food was edible, and the vodka was good. I love the Tim Tam, they gave us. I saw them in the stores in Sydney. Now I wish I had bought a few boxes to bring home.

The flight is smooth then bumpy then smooth again and then bumpy. We traveled 14,134 km at an altitude of 36,000 to 39,000 feet about 565 miles per hour for 15 hours. There is a baby that is having a hard time on the flight. Really, I think the parents are having the hard time. Most of the time one of them was up walking the aisles trying to sooth the baby.

After drinks they served us dinner (Steve had the beef and I had the chicken),

Then they dimmed the lights.

A few hours later they served these meat pies. They were disgusting. I can’t believe I woke up to eat that. Steve and I both threw them in the garbage. Oh, and yes, I eat anything.

I got some really cool pictures of the wings and the moon and the sun. Most of the flight the lights were off, and it was nighttime.

November 2, 2022 was a time traveling day. The temperature outside the plane was -65 degrees Fahrenheit during the flight. It was a freaking grueling trip in economy. We hit the runway in Dallas doing 122mph. It was a really smooth landing. We used Global for the first time in Dallas. It was fantastic. Short lines with facial recognition on kiosk machine and we were in.

We sat or slept and waited for our next flight in Dallas. While I am dreaming of Bondi Beach, Steve kept taking pictures of me.
