Year 2 – Day 182, Thursday, October 27, 2022. Day 39 of our 1/2 world trip. Day 1 of 2 sea days traveling from Picton, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia.

Eating a healthy breakfast is easy on a cruise. There are lots of healthy choices.

There is also a nice Gluten free selection. Here’s a little video of the Gluten Free bar in the Windjammer at lunch time.
I am getting nervous about the flight home but looking forward t0 spending holidays family.

We are so far from home and the flight is so long that Steve bought a deck of cards yesterday. It really made me laugh. If you know Steve, he hates playing cars with me. He says I cheat because he never wins.

There are many Australians currently on this ship. Some are easy to understand, and others are very difficult for me to understand when they speak. So, I had to research why. I found out that Australians speak in three different accents. Broad, general, or cultivated. We made the news today and are known as the first ship into New Zealand since covid lock downs. We returned with lots of covid. https://wellington.scoop.co.nz/?p=148340https://www.rnz.co.nz/…/more-than-130-covid-19-cases-on… Look at this article of the world’s thirty best places to visit. We have only been to six of the places and I thought we traveled a lot. We have lots more to go.
1 – South Island, New Zealand 2 – Paris 3 – Maui 4 – Bora Bora 5 – Tahiti 6 – London 7 – Rome 8 – Turks & Caicos 9 – Tokyo 10 – Maldives 11 – Phuket 12 – Barcelona 13 – Glacier National Park 14 – Banff 15 – Grand Canyon 16 – Costa Rica 17 – Bali 18 – New York City 19 – Machu Picchu 20 – Sydney 21 – Dubai 22 – St Lucia 23 – Great Barrier Reef 24 – Florence 25 – Santorini 26 – Yellowstone 27 – Yosemite 28 – Rio de Janeiro 29 – Amalfi Coast 30 – Victoria Falls Best places https://travel.usnews.com/rankings/worlds-best-vacations/
It is rocking today, and the barf bags are out.

Deck 15 walking deck is closed due to the high winds and so is the outside pool. The inside pools are like swimming in the ocean with the waves. Tomorrow is the last day on this cruise. I just can’t stop thinking about Picton. Attached are a few more pictures from yesterday at Picton, New Zealand.

We saw these boats anchored across the harbor in a little inlet yesterday, and the occupants were swimming and sunbathing.

Up in the hills there was this house that sat all alone. Imagine the views.

Today’s product recommendations are traveling essentials. 1) Luggage hand cart – we love this cart for easy rolling for easy cruise carry-on bags. Even when you can’t go to your room right away this is so easy to walk around the ship with. Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3s37EOw

2) This large toiletry bag is the best. Steve has the black and I have the pink. We both absolutely love them. Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3v1p6ok and picture
