Living the Dream – Year 2, Day 136

Year 2 – Day 136, Sunday, September 11, 2022. Gas is now $3.18 a gallon by us. The price of things like lumber and gas have had incredible wicked peaks and dips the last year. Steve finished the hardwood flooring in the upper level,

and worked on the floors around the doorways upstairs where the hardwood meets carpet or tile,

and tile meets carpet. It is very tedious precise work. The last board in the hallway fits perfect. Steve slid it in and beat it so it would slide down the wall into place.

For the next two days you cannot step on the bathroom saddles. So, I have heard once or maybe twenty times, “Don’t step on the saddle”. Okay dear, I won’t lol.

Almost done upstairs. Trim needs to be added and stair railing. I spent a lot of the day packing

and planning things to do on our upcoming vacation. The cruise excursions are very expensive in Hawaii. We are in Maui overnight and we have rented a car and are going to do the Hana highway. Not sure where we are stopping on the highway. There are forty different sights to see. I plan to pick four or five for sure ones.

In the afternoon I took a walk and refreshed my mind.

The indoor plants are thriving. They love the Williamsburg.

Today’s product recommendations are traveling essentials.                                                    1) Luggage hand cart – we love this cart for easy rolling for easy cruise carry-on bags.  Even when you can’t go to your room right away this is so easy to walk around the ship with.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3s37EOw

2) This large toiletry bag is the best.  Steve has the black and I have the pink.  We both absolutely love them.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3v1p6ok and picture
