Year 2 – Day 114, Saturday, August 20, 2022. All I can say is it’s another “GROUND HOG DAY”.

Yesterday Steve did slice his finger pretty bad, so we decided to break away and go out to a local Mexican Restaurant. There we had excellent food and service.

There is now about 174,000 pounds of stone buried in our yard and Steve moved it all. Today the yard looks like a mini racetrack. All we need is some little minibikes racing around the dirt pile and some hay bales as bleachers. Oh, wait a minute. I can see lawn mowers racing here.

The parking brake broke on the tractor three loads shy of moving all the stone at 12:05pm. Yup the John Deere dealer closed at noon and will not be open until Monday at 8am. The rain is fast approaching, and it will be raining for a few days starting this afternoon.

So of course, Steve figures a way to keep it working. Sometimes he even amazes me. Before he became a builder, he worked in his family’s precision sheet metal shop. They did a lot of prototypes for NASA rockets. He was also able to do everything in that shop from Heliarc welding to operating all the machinery.

By the end of the day there is no more racetrack, and the septic is almost totally covered up.

Today’s product recommendations are traveling essentials. 1) Luggage hand cart – we love this cart for easy rolling for easy cruise carry-on bags. Even when you can’t go to your room right away this is so easy to walk around the ship with. Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3s37EOw

2) This large toiletry bag is the best. Steve has the black and I have the pink. We both absolutely love them. Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3v1p6ok and picture
