Living the Dream – Year 2, Day 80

Year 2 – Day 80, Monday, July 18, 2022. It is a super rainy day today. The dumpster arrived at 1:45 pm in the pouring rain.

The farmers must be so happy about this rain. It has been so dry.

Since it was raining all day, Steve worked on completing the painting on the upstairs bedroom. It looks great and the carpet will be going down soon.

I am truly amazed at how much care the county puts into taking care of our roadways. The weeds are always kept trimmed. I am thinking today about last year and how exciting life was then. Amazing how it was hard to live like we were at that time, but it was exhilarating and joyful. Today, life is back to basically being easy again. We have a good bed, good living temperature, nice shower, no bugs, easy access to bathrooms, easy laundry facilities, lots of storage for way too much stuff, good refrigeration, and a great cooking area. Maybe we are candidates for Naked and Afraid. I actually liked the challenges we have endured so far to get where we are today. Haha, not the Naked part though. Makes me think of why I love cruising. It is not the dining, shows, or the amenities. It is the joy of meeting different people from all over the world and engaging in conversations with them and learning about their life and feelings. It is also the love of going to places to immerse in different cultures and ways of life. That is what travel is to me a truly great learning experience of other people. I can also relate to the person who is born, raised, and lives in the same community their total life, and rarely gets away. That can also be a very fulfilling life. They have a place where they belong and therefor share a relationship with people who can relate to them and their life experiences. Okay, these rainy-day thoughts are too deep even for me. Gotta run, lots to do. Wherever you are in life be happy and enjoy the ride. Love ya!

Today’s product recommendations are traveling essentials.                                                    1) Luggage hand cart – we love this cart for easy rolling for easy cruise carry-on bags.  Even when you can’t go to your room right away this is so easy to walk around the ship with.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3s37EOw

2) This large toiletry bag is the best.  Steve has the black and I have the pink.  We both absolutely love them.  Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3v1p6ok and picture
