Day 358 – “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 4/23/2022. The outside electrical work is completed. Flood lights are up and outside outlets are in. I cleaned the lower level up
while Steve worked on the dishwasher. We used an arc GFI breaker for the dishwasher and there was power to the dishwasher, but as soon as the wire was placed on the dishwasher wire. It kicked the breaker. A long time was spend trying to figure out what was wrong.
Hooked to a regular arc breaker it worked, but code is you need an arc breaker and GFI. We were using the combination breaker to achieve that with a switch under the sink to quickly turn off the dishwasher. That combination breaker when connected to the range hood would kick off also. So off to Lowes late in the day to get a new breaker.
A breaker costs $55.00. Prices amaze me. With high expectations we bought Cascade. I am doing dishes tonight – yeah.
The Somerset car shows are back, and people are lining the streets. It is a party scene tonight.
Got back home and Ugg same problem. We think the dishwasher has an issue. Tomorrow we are buying a plug and separate arc breaker and GFI plug. That is how we have the washer hooked up. The dishwasher will not be hardwired as we were originally going to install. If this doesn’t work, then it’s time to call Samsung.
Today’s product recommendations are for finishing a bathroom. The LED antifog back lit mirror is so nice. Also, new bathrooms need new towels.
