Day 336 – “Living the Dream”. Friday, 4/1/2022. Lying in bed this morning and Steve says, ” I’m taking the day off and going to just lay in bed all day”. I said, “ARE YOU?” I’m thinking wow something must be wrong. Of course, he starts heartily laughing and says, “APRIL FOOLS hahaha”. We have been trying to get the HVAC man back to finish our job. He keeps telling us next week. Today we contacted the HVAC inspector about changing the permit to us. He told us that the contractor we hired. His contractor’s license expired yesterday. He is canceling that HVAC permit and we are taking a homeowners permit out for $155.00. We went and purchased two two ton units and the other assorted needed supplies from a HVAC Outlet supply house about an hour away.
Steve is putting the outside heat pump condensers in and hooking the central air heat up himself. The rough in HVAC inspection has already been done. Steve has put in mini splits before but never a heat pump central system. Interesting fact: When a funeral procession passes you in Kentucky even on a double lane highway. Everybody stops going both ways and pulls over to the side of the road. I have never seen that anywhere else.
The yard and fields around us are filled with purple flower weeds. They look gorgeous far away.
Justin came over and assisted in getting the heat pump condensers off the truck and situated on the cement pad. Then Steve started connecting them to the tubing and wires coming from the house.
Today’s product recommendations are for finishing a bathroom. The LED antifog back lit mirror is so nice. Also, new bathrooms need new towels.
