Living the Dream Year 2 Day 277 – Day 9 of 14 (At Sea between Port Canaveral, Florida and Labadee, Haiti) on Wonder of the Seas

Year 2 Day 277 – “Living the Dream”. Monday, 1/30/2023. Day 9 of 14-night Wonder of the Seas Caribbean Cruise. We are at sea today traveling to Labadee, Haiti from Port Canaveral, Florida. The atmosphere and dining venues have changed significantly. There is no more designated Kosher areas and no more disposable plates and plastic sealed disposable utensils. There are a tremendous number of children on the ship though. I notice that Royal Caribbean does change its dining and activities based on who is traveling on that cruise. Kudos to them for acknowledging that. We noticed this last week for the large Jewish passengers and also when we cruised from Hawaii to Australia. We did a back-to-back to Australia and in Hawaii a large portion of the passengers that embarked were Australian. The Ship changed dramatically after that for that population. One of the largest changes was they put a tea pot in our room. This morning’s Windjammer food was spread out better. We walked on the track in the morning like we have been every morning. In that 45 minutes I get to think alot. Today there was this woman who kept running by us. I only got to see her from the back. But it is so funny when I think about running on a track, I see myself like her. She was so graceful and slim and flew like the wind. I really wanted to take a picture of her. I see myself flying like the wind and slim like her. What motivation a picture like that would be. I am sure she spends a lot of time and hard work to keep up her pace. This morning someone posted on Facebook about different lists to keep you happy and positive. I spent time thinking about that on my walk in between the bouts of envy when the fly like wind lady went by. I think everyone should have three lists. 1) Where you were in the past, 2) Where you are today, and 3) Where you want to be tomorrow. Depending on the way you are feeling you can then bring out these lists any time. Reading these lists will provide the peace, happiness, thankfulness, and motivation you need. Try it – it works. You can change these lists around as you change your goals. There was a new employee meeting on the walking trail.

Before lunch I walked around and took some pictures of the stairwells. Every ship has different artwork in the stairwells. If you find yourself needing a little exercise and entertainment walk up the stairs and stop and look at the unique artwork on the landings.

The ocean floor was15,000 feet and one inch deep at noon time and we are in the Atlantic Basin. We met a nice couple at lunch from Brooklyn, NY today. The wife grew up in West Town, NY. So funny her relatives all live in Wantage, NJ. It is such a small small world. Table 333 for lunch at least it is not 666.

The afternoon proved to be a great day to sit and watch the ocean go by on the balcony. The ship is crowded, and I am staying away from excessive eating, drinking, and gambling. Trying to partake in the healthy sea breezes, lots of water, and exercise. We did walk around some in the afternoon on the 16th deck.

We went to the Windjammer buffet tonight for dinner and we now have found a quiet spot in the back of the restaurant to eat. I am finding the ship very crowded, but we are discovering places to get away from people. The show tonight in the Royal Theater called Voices was one of the best shows I have seen. The singing and dancing was outstanding. Steve even liked it, and he does not like shows. We now have a two-animal collection this trip.

Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids. We will also be installing a smaller one for baking dishes. These are awesome. https://amzn.to/3CzOwwq https://amzn.to/3ZcBuyq
