Day 246 – “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 1/1/2022. The first day of 2022 started off with a bang. We were woken by multiple storm warnings. First one was a severe thunderstorm warning at 6:52am and then five minutes later a tornado warning.

We are always up and out of the cabin by 7am. Not this morning though. We were just laying around when our phones started going crazy. We figured the cabin might get taken away, so we headed to the basement of the new house. Of course, the front door was locked. WARNING: Don’t watch the below security camera video if colorful language upsets you.
Oh yea, and I don’t do well with no coffee. What a morning. As we sit waiting the alert out, we keep joking “maybe we should have taken our chances with cruising covid”. No tornado struck by us, but I understand one touched down in our town.

After that exciting start, the rest of the day was fairly mellow. It rained a lot in the morning and then was extremely windy with a high of 72. It is really flooded around us.

The birds were really congregating in the field. This weather seems to upset them also.

Steve worked on insulating till 3pm.

The tornado watch started again, and he decided he had to have a shower.

If a tornado warning was issued again, he would not get that shower. Have to shower after insulating all day. Lasagna on the grill for dinner tonight. Comfort food at its best.

From tweets it appears that Harmony of the Seas may be having some issues. We are really happy we just decided to work on the house for the next six weeks.

Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids. We will also be installing a smaller one for baking dishes. These are awesome. https://amzn.to/3CzOwwq https://amzn.to/3ZcBuyq
