My hope is that all who are reading these daily posts are developing a better appreciation for the construction industry. A builder/general contractor has to have an extensive knowledge of building codes, building design, building materials, excellent people skills, and endurance. It takes a lot of skill to build, remodel, and refurbish a home. Last night we headed back to Lowes for another ladder bracket, more nails, and a wasp trap. We are hoping the wasp trap works for the sweat bees. We had White Castle sliders for dinner sitting in the Lowes parking lot. Not healthy at all, but really yummy.

90 degrees on the way home at 7pm last night. The temperatures and weather here is all over the place. Woke up at 3am with the Cayotes barking away. They sounded really close, but our cameras did not detect any motion. The neighbors told us, you can’t leave your dog out at night time because the coyotes will attack them. I am not going out at night. Think they will attack me? They travel in packs. When getting up at 6am it is totally dark. So I kind of run from the cabin to the old house. I turn the alarm system off first. I don’t want anyone to laugh at me or put me on America’s funniest videos. Crazy lady living in a cabin running outside in the dark squealing with fright.

Today was a real scorcher of a day. Sunny, sunny, sunny.

I can’t believe these two men can work up on that house all day in this heat and sun. First thing this morning more plywood was hoisted up to the top floor. Then work on sheathing the dog house dormers started.

There is a lot of detail cutting involved with a lot of drop offs. We actually need to buy more plywood. The good thing is prices are down. Steve mumbled all day about the person who wanted those dog house dormers should be strangled. Uh oh, that is me. I better keep one eye open tonight while I sleep.

Work stopped at 3pm and we headed to Lumber King to pick up a Werners 28 foot heavy duty aluminum extension ladder I had ordered. Steve will only buy Werners Aluminum ladders with 300 pound capacity. He is getting ready to use those Ladder Brackets and planks to go up the side of the building.

It is slowly getting done.
Today’s product recommendations are for keeping aware of your surroundings: 1) Love this indoor outdoor thermometer, and 2) We own and love this five camera Blink Outdoor camera system with the Echo Show. Here’s the links to these products:
