Year 5, Day 330 “Living the Dream”. Thursday, 3/26/2026, The Wellington. The largest job to complete the Wellington is underway. Garage is being taped, corner bead put up, and spackled. Not a lot left to do to complete this home. Although we are feeling like the finishing touches are taking forever.

Mulch is being delivered tomorrow morning to clean up the gardens. That is a project for next week after the inside punch list is complete.

We are looking at cruising to Asia in 2028 from Seattle maybe. Hopefully Royal will be doing the same kind of route. It is an awesome looking cruise. This itinerary is not out for 2028 yet.

Year 5, Day 328 “Living the Dream”. Tuesday, 3/24/2026, The Wellington. Little snippets of my morning exercise group at Rocky Hollow Recreation Center in Somerset, Kentucky. Love this routine and instructor. Just enough to get you moving on three mornings a week. The other two days is a little bit more at Somerset Aquatics. You need to keep everyone of your joints moving, muscles strong, and maintain good balance. This is a Silver Sneakers exercise routine, but it is great for everyone no matter your age to keep limber, strong, and healthy.

Driveway is ready for the next truck beating.

Science Hill water came by to check out the situation. Tomorrow the water meter will be ordered. It is $1,600.00 to have a water meter installed.

More touch up and finish work completed on the Wellington.

Year 5, Day 327 “Living the Dream”. Monday, 3/23/2026, The Wellington. Going to try to make cheesecake again. Remember the last time making cheesecake the glass blender was broken. So I bought a new blender today. Steve gets his work toys and I get mine. Exciting life here. Is it time for another Epic Journey. Looking into Asia for 2028.

Year 5, Day 326 “Living the Dream”. Sunday, 3/22/2026, The Wellington. It is is only two days into spring and it is 84 at 5pm. We have gone right into summer weather.

The septic bed area is all graded.

We are planning on making the cement floor work in the garage and basement easier. Therefore, we purchased Concrete Knee Boards. It should be easier and quicker using these to do the floor troweling. We have always used prayer boards. Or maybe Steve just wanted a new toy. This man’s toys are his tools.

Year 5, Day 325 “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 3/21/2026, The Wellington. Happy Birthday Spencer. Unbelievable that you are six years old today. Your party was so much fun and we loved meeting your friends. Thanks for having us. It was also educational. Never heard of a Natatorium before. A Natatorium is a building or indoor facility that houses a swimming pool, often including locker rooms and diving areas. Derived from the Latin natare (“to swim”). It specifically refers to an enclosed, year-round swimming space, commonly found in schools, universities, and community centers. Everyone needs to learn one thing everyday.

Flowers are brightening the yard. Now we have trees for future shade.

The guy team work was awesome in the morning.

Then it was off for an Olive Garden lunch. Okay – who eats steak at an Italian Restaurant?

Saturday evening mass.

This is what everyone wanted from the store for dinner. Not so healthy and a really unusual meal.

Year 5, Day 317 “Living the Dream”. Friday, 3/13/2026, The Wellington. More fun in PA. I don’t like to think about how close we are today to the Limerick Generating System The high school where Julianna goes is in Royersford. It is really close at under seven miles. The Limerick Generating Station is a two-unit nuclear power plant in Limerick Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is owned by Constellation Energy. Construction began in June 1974 and Units 1 and 2 began commercial operation in February 1986 and January 1990, respectively. Both of Limerick’s units are boiling water reactors designed by General Electric. You can see the plant’s two 507 foot tall natural-draft hyperbolic cooling towers from miles around. Municipalities within a 10-mile radius have emergency planning and training. As part of the public alert and warning plan, Limerick Generating Station maintains a system of public alert sirens throughout the Emergency Planning Zone (EPZ). The siren system is tested monthly (1st Monday, 2 pm) in “growl” mode and semi-annually (June/December) at full volume, warns of potential emergencies. Additionally residents within 10 miles can obtain free Potassium Iodide ( KI) tablets—which protect the thyroid from radiation—from local county health departments.

It is amazing to think how we are all moving at the same time in different spaces. Our family is constantly moving in different physical spaces but we still remain spiritually connected.

Year 5, Day 305 “Living the Dream”. Sunday, 3/01/2026, The Wellington. Beautiful day. Purchased grass seed and decided to get serious about a lawn this year. So we thatched the lawn and put down grass seed. We are hoping the cool weather and the expected upcoming rain will make it grow. It is hard to get a good law to grow in Kentucky.

Year 5, Day 304 “Living the Dream”. Saturday, 2/28/2026, The Wellington. Good Morning last day of February.

It is loud outside with the sound of the Upland Chorus Frog. The males are calling and ready to breed. These amphibians can be found in the south central counties of Kentucky.

This calling breeding season runs through March and well into April. The sound is like running a fingernail over the teeth of a large metal comb. Here in KY it is the first promise of the coming spring. The male Upland Chorus Frog is only 1½ inches long and the biggest female maybe 2 inches. Our drainage ditch in the back is filled with their sound. Going near any spot in the ditch the frogs get really quiet in that spot. They hide in the dense grass at the edge of the water with only the tip of their nose exposed when calling. When approached, they quickly disappear beneath the surface and hide under the water in vegetation. By May they will all move from the ditch to shelter under leaf litter, logs, or anything else that keeps them moist. We often find them when moving lumber piles.

The hole for the 1,000 gallon cement Septic tank has been excavated by the end of the day and is ready for Monday’s delivery. The hole is 12 feet long by 60 inches deep by 65 inches wide. At 60 inches we hit a ledge of rock. Steve had to jump in the hole and measure to ensure it was level. Proper tank intake and outtake depends on the tank being level. We are watching Monday’s weather closely. We need to get the tank in place before it rains a lot. Rain is predicted for Monday. Hopefully the tank will be delivered early or the rain occur later in the day.

Year 5, Day 303 “Living the Dream”. Friday, 2/27/2026, The Wellington. Feels like spring is here. Those bulbs we planted on Christmas Eve are breaking through the soil. Even the Irises are peaking through and reaching for the sun. Cleaning up a little outside around the Williamsburg is a much needed break from closet work. We are on the schedule to have a 1,000 gallon cement septic tank and two hillside boxes delivered on Monday for Clifty Hill 3. Excavation will be done to create the placement hole tomorrow. New homesite underway.
