Year 6, Day 78. “Living the Dream”. Friday, 7/17/2026, Clifty Hill 3. Day 32 Foundation Block Laying.
It is 100 degrees Fahrenheit at 8:30am on our deck. I can hear the music blasting at the worksite. They must be happy like the corn and wild flowers are with the heat.
The first lumber was ordered today for the floor decking. We decided to work with Lumber King on this house. We like their lumber better, they are easy to work with(everything done through text messages), and their pricing is reasonable. An interesting fact is that we have used 160 bags of Type S Mason Mix so far for this foundation.
