Living the Dream Year 6 Day 62 – Clifty Hill 3 – Day 22 Foundation Block Laying, Duck hats

Year 6, Day 62. “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 7/01/2026, Clifty Hill 3. Day 22 Foundation block laying. Another hot sunny day leading up to July 4th. We both were up and out at 6:30am. We wanted to get started with any outside stuff while it was cooler. Well it was 75 at 7am. Steve mowed the field and I met with some people to walk the streets of Somerset. I am sure we provided some entertainment and color to the town with our chicken/duck hats. We walked 7,500 steps or about three miles. Love walking with this group and am very thankful to have met such wonderful people. Fyi, the bees certainly enjoyed the colorful hats.

After mowing Steve was able to put up 20 blocks before he gave it up for the day.

Our gardens around the Wellington are filled with holes. We think those cute little skunks that were eating under the birdfeeder are now looking for insects in our mulch. Maybe it is better to throw seed around for them.
