Living the Dream Year 6 Day 60 – Clifty Hill 3 – Day 20 Foundation Block Laying, hose popped

Year 6, Day 60. “Living the Dream”. Monday, 6/29/2026, Clifty Hill 3. Day 20 Foundation block laying. It is a beautiful sunny hot 90 degree day. Very muddy around the build site. Due to the intense heat in the sun, block laying was slow. Three courses were done on the bedroom wall area. That is about sixty blocks. The afternoon heat was so intense that work was cut short.

Steve’s back is feeling better after a weekend off due to the rain. Aspercream four times a day for two days works wonders. Another good thing about the rainy weekend was the ground settled in the garage area more. Rain is a great compactor. Crazy but our hose popped last night and spewed water everywhere. That hose had a life time guarantee. It could not take the Kentucky hot sun. Everyday it would swell in the sun. We drained it and turned off the water when not using. Imagine what the sun is doing to construction workers. No wonder road word in the south is done at night.
