Living the Dream Year 6 Day 36 – Clifty Hill 3 – Foundation Block Laying Day 11

Year 6, Day 36 “Living the Dream”. Friday, 6/05/2026, Clifty Hill 3. Day 11 Foundation Block Laying.

In the mornings the gound at the build site always has lots of worm poop. This poop is worm castings (or vermicast). In the evening the worms borrow up and poop and then borrow back down. Steve says in the mornings there are also little red worms on top of the soil. These little red worms are Red Wigglers. I read that when you see a lot of these castings, your soil is very healthy. This picture was taken in the afternoon. As the sun gets higher in the sky they dry out and disappear into the soil.

Number 57 stone arrived. Prices just keep going up. It cost3 $678.95 for 24.56 tons today. Our May 12, 2026 delivery of the same stones. It cosr $600.00 for 24.04 tons. This stone does seem much cleaner than the last load.

In other news it is the boys last day of school. 5th and 7th grade complete. Jenna and Jamie now have 6th and 8th graders.
