Year 5, Day 340 “Living the Dream”. Sunday, 4/05/2026, The Wellington. Happy Easter. Easter is celebrated by Catholic and Protestant churches worldwide.

Easter is a movable holiday that changes annually, falling on any Sunday between March 22 and April 25. It is calculated as the first Sunday after the full Moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox. In 82 years Easter has fallen two times on April 5th. The reason this stands out to me is because my sister Mary was so excited this morning. Her birthday is today. So a double celebration for her. Another interesting thing that marks this day is that in 1614 Pocahontas was married on this day. April 16 is the most common date for Easter. March 22, March 23, and March 24 are among the least common. Did you know that historically, eggs were forbidden during Lent, making them a special celebratory food permitted again on Easter Sunday.

Gifts are often given gifts on Easter to spread love.

Steve put down the weed killer. Have to get rid of those Dandelions. No one on the street has them like our yard.

We planted shrubs and flowers around the back patio in the morning.

Went to plant the Caladium bulb and there were none in the package. Only sawdust. Never had that happen before.

We planted a few orange lilies which symbolize confidence, energy, passion, and warmth. Did you know orange lilies are poisonous to cats.

Are you keeping track of gas prices. It is now $3.91 a gallon here.

Thoughts to ponder.
