Year 5, Day 245 “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 12/31/2025 – The Wellington – Happy New Year. It has been a great year for us. We are thankful for all the good fortune that has come our way. Looking ahead I am filled with hope, inspiration, and motivation for the coming year.
Today was a day of preparing for our upcoming trip for me. Steve decided that he needed to work on the John Deere S240 lawn tractor. The transmission has been making a little bit of noise. I think he has been pulling a little too much weight around. The transmission fluid is not meant to be easily changed. John Deere says the fluid should last the life time of the tractor. Of course he spent numerous hours watching YouTube videos and found out how to do it. He had to take the rear out to change it The fluid was low, dirty and thin like water. It took all day to do. But, it is done. Hopefully that will prolong the life of the mower.
I also spent a little time watching videos of these cute little puppies.
