Year 5, Day 222 “Living the Dream”. Monday, 12/08/2025 – The Wellington – It was a cold day. I attended the Newcomers annual Christmas luncheon and Gift Basket Auction at Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse. There, I was able to find the Christmas warmth. This is an annual event to raise funds for the club’s outings, picnics, and lunches for members. It also raises donations for local charities. The Christmas Lunch was prepared and catered by the Chefs at The Chalet Restaurant. Today’s event featured great food and lovely people. The baskets and table settings were beautiful. The effort this group of ladies puts in, to make everyone feel welcome is tremendous.
