Year 5, Day 22, “Living the Dream”. Thursday, 5/22/2025. The Wellington – Laundry area work day. Before work started we made sure all our laundry was done. We will be without a washer and dryer for a few days. Trying to avoid going to the the laundromat. Remembering those cabin days with fondness !! Ha HA https://deestimes.com/2021/05/22/living-the-dream-day-21/

Moved the washer and dryer out of the laundry closet.

A rag was stuffed in the top of the drain pipe. This seals the drain from sewer gases. It also prevents unpleasant odors from escaping into the home. Stuffing a rag into a drain opening is a quick and easy way to prevent sewer gas from escaping. Do not use a rag for long-term sealing! A rag is not a perfect seal. Breathing in sewer gas fumes can cause respiratory issues. Sewer gas includes hydrogen sulfide (smells like rotten eggs) and methane (which is flammable).

1/2 inch cement board was screwed down.

Cemented the tile down with thinset,

Hung the closet double doors.

Things to ponder today! Have to leave you thinking.

Here’s a link to today’s Amazon recommendation: https://amzn.to/43iIfTw Mop and Broom wall mounted holder: Love these to keep mops, brooms, dust pans, etc. off the floor. This way my Roomba https://amzn.to/3Hc632X can clean every crevice. I leave the closet door open often on cleaning days. I also like the fact that the mops and brooms aren’t all tangled up and easy to pull out and use. It is very convenient.
