Year 4, Day 268, “Living the Dream”. Thursday, 1/23/2025. Day 1 of 10 day Tampa to Bahamas trip – We are heading south to Tampa for a cruise. At 8am it is 13 degrees in Tennessee. It is colder then Kentucky, but the sky is really clear and it is sunny.
Appearing as though it will remain jeans weather for today and tomorrow. There was no signs of snow on the ground until we hit the Interstate 475 bypass. Right before that bypass there was snow in the Interstate 75 rest area and no heat in the restrooms. Talk about a cold butt. Men have it so easy.
Checked into the Hilton Garden Inn in Tifton, Georgia. The front desk woman told us they have not had snow here since 2014. She has never seen it stick around so long. In the 20’s this evening.
Things to ponder today! Have to leave you thinking.
