Living the Dream Year 4 Day 250 – The Wellington – Hall bath completed except for molding, Snow and bird feeding frenzy, Kohler easy remove to clean toilet bowl seat cover video

Year 4, Day 250, “Living the Dream”. Sunday, 1/05/2025. The Wellington – The Hall bath is completed except for the molding. We replaced the toilet bowl cover with an easily removable Kohler one. We do that with every toilet we install.

At 9am snow has started.

The birds are in a feeding frenzy. I feel sorry for the birds. How do they keep warm? Well, they huddle together in tight spots and share body heat. They also fluff up their feathers to help keep warm. Some small birds, like chickadees and kinglets, can drop their body temperature to save energy. Birds position themselves to face the sun on sunny days to warm their skin and feathers. Of course, that is not happening here for the next day or two. Last, they eat more on short winter days to accumulate fat and sustain them through the night. That is why the bird feeder has constant activity today. We used to have about twelve mourning doves. They are gone. I just learned that people shoot mourning doves. I am so upset. Dove hunts are often social. Groups of 20 or more hunters gather for a shoot. Mourning dove hunting is legal in 41 states. It is not allowed in several states. These states include Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, and Alaska.

I really need that bag. He keeps staring at me. Is there something on my face?

Looking at the snow-covered fields I am thinking of the ways I try to keep harmony in my life. Actually, I try to live by a few life changing thoughts. 1) You will always have problems. Learn to enjoy life while you solve them. 2) People do not decide their futures; they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures. 3) Life is harder when you expect much from the world and little from yourself. 4) Life is easier when you expect much from yourself and little from the world. High Standards, Low Expectations 5) Half your problems are just your mind making smaller things seem bigger things. 6) Don’t let yourself be controlled by three things: people, money or past experiences. 7) Give thanks every day, because even if you think you have no reasons to give thanks, your “normal” day is someone else’s dream.

Things to ponder today! Have to leave you thinking.
