Year 4 Day 129 “Living the Dream”. Friday, 9/06/2024. Clifty Hill 2 – Last night our carbon monoxide detector downstairs kept going off. Of course I am freaking out, we have a lot of batteries in that garage under the bedroom we are currently using. The batteries are LifeP04 Lithium which have a long lifespan, a safe nature, and have high efficiency. They are ideal for off-grid homes and long-term power outages since they can charge and discharge between 2000 to 4000 times before losing 30% of their original capacity. They offer excellent protection against thermal runaway and overheating and have a much lower risk of explosion or catching fire and can be safely stored and operated in enclosed spaces like apartments, garages, and sheds. Okay I am reading all this but still freaking out about the alarms. We decided that they were going off due to sheetrock dust. Steve kept blowing the dust out of them and we kept the downstairs windows open all night. We are using hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide combination ceiling alarms. They come with little plastic covers that should be kept on during construction which we have not been doing. Today we put the plastic covers back on and will remove them at night only. Also, I am out shopping for a garage to house fire door today.
