Living the Dream Year 3 Day 286 – Clifty Hill 2 – Interior framing, lunch with Reina at Bluebird

Year 3 Day 286 – “Living the Dream”. Monday, 2/12/2024. Clifty Hill 2 – I met up with my oldest Granddaughter in Stanford, KY today. Stanford, KY is the second oldest settlement in Kentucky, having been founded in 1775.

We had a wonderful lunch at the Bluebird. They served us the best green fried tomatoes. Their homemade chips are incredible. If you have the chance stop by there and have lunch. The servers were so nice, and the food was really good.

After lunch we meandered around this sweet little town. This town has such unique shops and the cutest little parking garage. It is like stepping back 100 years in time. Kentucky Soaps & Such is a must stop. They make their soap products in the basement of the shop. You can get tours of the production if you ask. There is a small drug store (Coleman’s Drug Store) with a luncheonette. I wanted to go inside and eat again. It was a little chilly and I was not dressed for the weather. Therefore, we didn’t spend a lot of time wandering around. Also, it was Monday and a lot of places were closed. I plan to go back and visit every little nook and cranny of this town. You can also spend the night right there in the middle of this ambiance at the Stanford Inn. Imagine immersing yourself in what it was like 100 years ago in a small town. An experience you will talk about for a long time. While I was enjoying myself, Steve continued with the lower-level interior framing.

Things to ponder today! Have to leave you thinking.

Blue Bird House – Here’s a link to today’s Amazon recommendation: https://amzn.to/42XS1J5 We have so many Eastern Bluebirds that I am purchasing one of these blue bird houses. From what I understand you have to spray them out with a hose after each bird family leaves. The front of this one opens so easy hosing out. Let me know how it works for you. I would love to see pics of your bluebirds enjoying their new home.
