Year 3 Day 232- “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 12/20/2023. Clifty Hill 2 – These early morning Lowes and other supply store runs are not fun. I am retired! Why am I out at 6am in 20-degree weather scrapping the truck windows. Okay, I am not actually scrapping – Steve is. Where is the garage? Better yet where is the Caribbean?
It is amazing even in this cold weather these flowers in our yard are surviving and in fact they look beautiful.
We drove 55 miles to Harrodsburg. KY to pick up our shutters and the special-order Board and Battan siding.
Of course, anytime we go out we have to pick up more stuff at Lowes. The Lowes store in Danville, Kentucky is larger and has more of a variety of materials. We bought our oak stair treads and some plumbing stuff.
In that 55-mile trip we passed eight Dollar General stores, and we brought a fly back to Science Hill. I bet he isn’t going to make it home for Christmas. Just like I won’t see my brother for Christmas.
