Year 3 Day 98 – “Living the Dream”. Tuesday, 8/08/2023. Clifty Hill 2 – Happy Anniversary to my daughter and son-in-law. It is amazing it has been fifteen years! Wow what a beautiful family they have made.
Steve headed out at 5:30am to work on laying block. I headed to the lumber company at 7:30am for more block.
Then onto a local supply company for drainage pipes for the drains around the house. It is pretty intimidating to be the only female in these places. You get some pretty interesting looks, and the customers act – like why are you in line. I kind of had to force my way to keep my turn. It was all contractors and me. I said to the person who helped me. ” This is kind of intimidating”. He says, “Why? – We are friendly”. I said, “Well it’s not like going into a dress shop”. They all started laughing and one customer says, “Yes, I can understand how you feel. I wouldn’t want to walk into a dress shop”. The whole atmosphere in the store changed after that.
By the end of the day, the foundation block work is mostly done.
Today’s product recommendations are for keeping your skin looking its best at sea and in the sun. My favorite skin care products are made by Elemis.
