Year 3 Day 43a – “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 6/14/2023. We only see deer occasionally in our yard. We put our tomatoes, bean, cucumber, sunflower, and pepper plants in the garden yesterday and last night here come the deer. Hopefully they won’t chow down in the new garden. I know those baby plants are hiding right now. They are saying, “Mommy please come save us. Those deer have sharp teeth”.
Might have to do a deck container garden again.
On our cruise trips we have made many friends since we first started cruising in 2008. Today we were notified that one of our table mates on one of our last few cruises passed away. Carol and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Bobby was a sweet kind gentleman. He was a pleasure to sit with at dinner and discuss our day. Loved to hear stories about your veterinarian practice and your love for animals. After hearing this news, Steve and I started discussing how it is strange, how many people we have sat with at dinner through the years that have passed away. Should people be afraid to sit with us? Today is a traveling day so we had lots of time to think and talk. FYI – McDonalds hamburgers are horrible. Can’t believe I choked one down today. Happy flag day. No flag out at our house today. Here’s something that all young adults should know. I never realized the value of an education. I was smart and worked very hard as an adult. Because of my hard good work ethics as a younger adult and taking every course offered at my different workplaces, I had opportunities. I am not saying that money gives you happiness, but it certainly can relieve some of the stress in your life. The stress of not being able to pay for basic necessities. Thought for the day! Be sure and share this with all young adults. Everybody needs a career path. Seek to learn those high demand skills by getting some training.
