Year 2 Day 335 – “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 3/29/2023. I am so glad we brought the flowers in last night. There was frost on everything this morning. We are going to keep them in one more night. I think we jumped the spring season and bought them too early. We have taken to cooking a chicken breast and feeding the yard security cats. We have to be careful not to make them dependent on us for food. They need to keep the critters away.

On the flip side we are feeding the birds. We don’t want the cats bothering them. We feed them out in the open away from anything the cats can use to get up on to attack them. We fill this feeder up every other day.

The sidewalk design is looking good.

Here’s that same basic picture before the house. It actually is the first picture we took.

This property is changing from day 1 looking like this.

To today year2 day 335 looking like this. I think we are still in the transformation stage. The old house actually looks like a nicer setting.

By the bend where I am standing there will be a walkway to a firepit paved area.

Here he is working on the new firepit area.

He also worked on grading more of the yard. We want to ensure the water runs away from the house and garage.

Underground pipes were installed on both sides of the house, enabling the roof gutter water to run away from the house into boxes.

Steve says we should buy a skid steer. He wants me to run the skid steer and he will run the mini excavator and we can put in septic systems. He says wouldn’t that be fun. Ah NO absolutely would not be fun. If I were to work for fun it would be on a computer inside. Not out in the elements with the variable weather and oh my goodness, think of the BUGS. He is crazy. Plus, we are never home how are we doing a septic business. I cleaned the side of the road today and must have picked up 100 cans of Natural beer. What is wrong with people. I am not normally a violent person, but if I see someone drinking Natural beer and throwing a can out their car window, I probably will scream at them. First of all, why are you drinking in a moving car and second littering. Both things are horrible. Stay home and drink your beer and throw the empty can in your garbage. Steve loves this yard work stuff. I can’t get him to come in at night. Starts at 8am. Comes in for lunch then out again. It is 6:30 pm and he is still out there.
In the evenings we have been watching Lucifer. Does anyone have any opinions on this Netflix series? I really like it, but it bothers Steve because Lucifer is the devil.
Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids. We will also be installing a smaller one for baking dishes. These are awesome. https://amzn.to/3CzOwwq https://amzn.to/3ZcBuyq
