Living the Dream Year 2 Day 321 – Cold heading to WV, fire in hotel.

Year 2 Day 321 – “Living the Dream”. Wednesday, 3/15/2023. It is so cold in KY this morning as we load up the car. — 21 degrees — The car has a hard layer of frost on it. This is a little introduction of what it will be like in PA tomorrow. They are filming another movie near us and are looking for extras. Hmm should I send my photo. What a cool thing to do. https://www.somerset-kentucky.com/…/article_79359a8a… It is amazing how many trucks are on our highways. I agree with the saying, thank a truck driver for getting stuff around the country to you. These trucks are from every state. We were in a huge traffic jam on Interstate 64 east in WV for a long long time. It gave me the opportunity to appreciate these drivers. Also saw women truck drivers.

The trees are beautiful in West Virginia.

We stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn, Clarksburg, West Virginia and was woken up to the fire alarms going off. Are you freaking kidding me? I look in the hall and yes everyone is heading outside. So out we go. We think it was an electrical fire on the opposite side of the building from where we were. We were outside for about an hour. It was cold. This hotel is being refurbished. They are working on the 5th floor now. I wonder if that is where the fire was. People were so nice and caring to others without coats or to assist this mother with two little boys. Others brought blankets from their cars so the boys could lay in the back of the SUV. The boys were excited but frightened and were on a video call with their dad. Their Mom was so good with them. As well as others who just came by to talk to them and ensure the mom and her boys were warm and okay. People are so kind!!

It was hard to get back to sleep after that. We just started falling asleep again and the alarms went off again. We looked outside the fire department was still there. The alarms went off shortly and all seemed okay. We think they may have been testing them.

It took a long time to get back to sleep.

Today’s product recommendation is for the Rev-A-Shelf. I love this for my pots, pans and lids. The one we recently installed is the 21 inches with a spot on the top shelf for the lids. We will also be installing a smaller one for baking dishes. These are awesome. https://amzn.to/3CzOwwq https://amzn.to/3ZcBuyq
