Year 2 – Day 217, Thursday, December 1, 2022. Day 5 Anthem of the Seas 7-night Bahamas Cruise. Perfect Day at Coco Cay today.
We got off the ship around 8:15am. The Liberty of the Seas is also docked here for the day. We headed to the first beach on the left (Chill Island) when you get on the island and grabbed front row chairs with an umbrella. It is early so the beach is very quiet. We like to get off the ship in the early morning and then get back on early. We are just not the hang at the beach all day people. As the day progresses and it gets closer to noon it definitely gets more crowded.
It is a nice sunny day with a lovely breeze to keep you cool. The water is cold to get in, but oh so clear. Once you get fully submersed it feels nice.
Laying on the beach chairs I can see this boat in the distance over by Norwegian’s private Island.
We only stayed at the beach for a few hours and were back on the ship by noon. In the buffet the officers were eating lunch. Very few passengers were on board and it was a lovely time to be on the ship. We spent a little time walking around admiring the different parts of the ship.
Tonight, we start our trip back up to NJ. We will be at sea for two days and then home on Sunday morning. We have had two great evening waiters on this trip and lovely dinner companions.
